Background & Accreditations

I am a family man and one of your local on-call firefighters, so you'll know already that I care about our local community and I'm someone you can trust.  My background before plumbing was in design and engineering, educated to degree level and had a successful career before deciding to explore a new challenge.  What my background and skills mean for you, is that you're hiring somebody who has the technical and practical intelligence to get your work done correctly, in a safe manner and who can communicate well so that you are fully informed.

Before starting ProFix, I had many years of experience in plumbing and property maintenance, working alongside experienced plumbers and trades people, so rest assured, this is something I am skilled in.  I am fully trained in all aspects of domestic and commercial plumbing practices, hot and cold services, clean and waste water, internal and external applications.

As well as a diploma in plumbing, I also hold a 'G3' and 'WRAS' certificate.  The 'G3' is a legal requirement for working with hot water cylinders of any type, vented or unvented, for servicing, maintenance or initial installation.  A plumber should not be touching your hot water cylinder without this certificate as they can be dangerous to property and life when installed incorrectly, so you should always make sure your plumber is G3 certified for such work!  'WRAS' is the water regulations advisory scheme, concerned with commercial and domestic water, for the health and safety of the consumer and the environment.  This means my work will always be compliant with regulations, so you can sleep easily, knowing your plumbing services are in order.
